Week 6
Week 5th we were supposed
to present about our presentation. Our presentation is about use artist
references to create an ideas by using New media. So basically our work is
linked with Cory Arcangel. The linking between our ideas and his is we are using
the old time memories games. Which we decided to use Tamagotchi. Tamagotchi is
an electronic toy displaying a digital image of a creature, which has to be
looked after and responded to by the 'owner' as if it were a pet.

So basically our ideas for
Tamagotchi is, we are going to create the reality of Tamagotchi version by
using Holographic Screen. Holographic is a graphic that shows a three
dimensional, projected of something or someone. We will use holographic screen
to make the Tamagotchi displays from the projector, and it will appear with
three dimensions of Tamagotchi. There will be 3 buttons on the projector, there
are; 'Shit', 'Food' and 'Food detector'.
So for the 'Shit' button; if we press the button the trash bin will appear on the holographic screen and the laser from the holographic projector will detect our hand gestures, when we pick up the shit, the shit will be on our hand let us to throw into the bin.
Next one is 'Food' button;
if we press the button they will scan the food what we are eating. And it will
measure the calories of the food and also the status of the food such as
vitamins, carbs, protein, fats, sugar level, salt level and etc. And there will
be spoon & fork provided. The spoon and fork is to scan our food, there are
real utensils; so we can use it to eat and it will detect our food datas while
eating. When we are eating the food the food datas will be send to the
holographic projector and make the Tamagotchi eat as well.
This thing also can help for diet as well, as we know that if Tamagotchi consume too much food they will die. So if the holographic screen give an alert sign we should stop eating as well. There will be the limit of calories that Tamagotchi should consume and also the limit is limited by every user's data. And when Tamagotchi dies, it won't just die with cross sign on their eyes and disappear. They will also have reasons when they die, such as disease.
Our idea is basically focused for those who wants to have pets, on diet, and play old time games.
